A man will appear in court today after a neighbourhood dispute got out of hand in Ranui.
The incident in Mili Way, Ranui, happened around 9.40 pm last night.
Police say things escalated rapidly with a variety of weapons being used, which included bats and a rifle.
The person with the rifle was tasered by police after he did not put the gun down after being called upon to do so.
At least one person was taken away by ambulance with a serious injury to their arm.
Police have arrested a 23-year-old man in connection with the incident.
He has been charged with " wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm" in addition to a related firearms offence of possession of an airgun with intent to threaten grievous bodily harm.
He will be appearing in the Waitakere District Court today.
