Two native American actors arrive in Wellington today, where they will host workshops at the Armageddon Expo.
Saginaw Grant and Rick Mora touch down shortly in the capital city. Wearing full cultural regalia they will be greeted by Kura Moeahu, from Te Atiawa iwi.
Saginaw Grant, of Sac and Fox Nation origin, is a respected elder, traditional dancer, speaker and actor.
His film and television credits include roles in Breaking Bad, the Lone Ranger, American Horror Story and The World's Fastest Indian.
Rick Mora, of Yaqui and Apache origin, is an actor, model, author, photographer and presenter. He has starred in Twilight, Deadliest Warrior and Yellow Rock.
Tomorrow the pair will be further welcomed at a powhiri at Waiwhetu Marae and next week they host Armageddon Expo workshops at Westpac Stadium in Wellington.
"We anticipate a lot of buzz surrounding the arrival of Grant and Mora in Wellington," said Beyond Reality Media director William Geradts. The company is promoting the expo.
"This is a unique opportunity for New Zealanders, with amazing opportunities for cultural exchange as well as the chance for fans to hear about Grant and Mora's extraordinary lives and wisdom directly from them at the Armageddon workshops."
