Bindi Irwin, along with mum Terri and brother Robert, is back at Queensland's Australia Zoo after her Dancing with the Stars triumph in the US.
"It feels so good to be back in khaki! I woke up this morning and looked into my closet and instantly grabbed by khakis," Bindi told the Nine Network's Today program from the Sunshine Coast.
The 17-year-old and her dancing partner Derek Hough were crowned champions of the US reality TV show last month.
During the show, Bindi moved the judges and the crowd to tears with a dedication to her Crocodile Hunter dad Steve Irwin, who died in 2006.
"Dad kind of lives within us no matter where we go," she said."His strength is what keeps up going."
Terri Irwin said she and Robert were with Bindi everyday throughout the show.
"Robert worked hard to finish school early so he could be at the shows every week," she told Today. "Bindi just nailed it. Really proud of her."
Robert, who celebrates his 12th birthday celebrations on Tuesday, was gifted a new camera lens by the Today crew for his nature photography hobby.
"This has made my entire year!" he said."I absolutely love wildlife photography so this is going to be so great."
Bindi paid tribute to her brother on Instagram with a moving message and sweet photo of the pair together.
Robert's birthday celebrations are being live streamed by Australia Zoo.
Bindi also laughed off rumours she and boyfriend Chandler Powell planned to marry.
"That is hilarious. Oh my goodness, I hadn't heard that," she said."Nope. Pretty much just 17 and having fun, living life."
