New Zealand skiier Claudia Riegler ended her women's World Cup slalom season with a solid 13th in Are, Sweden, yesterday.
Riegler showed her best form for some time in her second run, clocking the sixth fastest time.
Her 55.53s was half a second slower than the day's fastest run, by Swede Anje Paerson.
But Riegler's late dash did not move her up the placings from 13th on the first run.
She finished the season 18th overall on 110 points.
At her best, as in the second run yesterday, she matched the world elite, but her season was punctuated with a series of falls.
Croatian Janica Kostelic won the title with 824 points, with Swiss skiier Sonja Nef second on 384, and Martina Ertl, of Germany, third, with 336 points.
Riegler totalled 1 min 52.16s for the two runs.
