A Napier man has been found guilty on 13 out of 28 charges of violence and sexual abuse against his partner over two-and-a-half years.
The jury yesterday delivered their verdicts against Timothy Hebberley at the High Court in Napier, after more than 25 hours of deliberations.
The 20-year old had faced 28 charges in total.
All 28 verdicts were unanimous.
The jury decided Hebberley was guilty of 13 charges including male assaults female, injuring with intent to injure, sexual violation, threatening to kill, dislocating her hip joints and two counts of threatening to do grievous bodily harm.
He was found not guilty of 15 charges including burning her with a cigarette lighter, locking her in a washhouse with a dangerous dog, branding her with a hot wire, burning her with candle wax, rape, intentionally dislocating her shoulders and kidnapping,
