A Huia Range student has set a remarkable benchmark at the Dannevirke primary school's athletics championships, showing a clean pair of heels to his opponents, winning five individual events.
Tama-Toa Nikora was competing in the senior events at the championships, which attracted young athletes from schools around the district.
He won the senior boys championship in the 100-metre sprint, with a time of 13.01, the 800m in 2.33.10, the high jump, clearing 1.44m and the senior discus with a distance of 26.13m and the long jump with a 4.71m leap.
Tama-Toa was also placed second in the senior shot put and helped his Huia Range team take out the senior relay from Ruahine and Weber.
Tama-Toa's 800m time also equalled the record set in 2013 and he set a record in the senior boys high jump scissor kick.
The young Huia Range student's outstanding achievement came in an event where 14 records fell or were equalled.
Four discus records fell over six grades: Junior girls - Olivia Augustine; intermediate girls - Ella Hogan; intermediate boys - Joshua Augustine; senior girls - Natisha Pedley.
Three fell in the long jump: Junior boys - Sam Stratford; intermediate girls - Jodie Kent; intermediate boys - Cortez Ostler.
Two fell in the high jump: Intermediate boys - Thomas Barrow; senior boys - Tama-Toa Nikora.
Kylie Mason-Kui broke the intermediate boys shotput with a throw of 10.65m.
On the track Fleur Trent broke the senior girls 800m and Tama-Toa Nikora equalled the senior boys 800m record.
