An elderly Hawke's Bay pedestrian who was seriously injured after being hit by a motorcyclist remains in Palmerston North hospital.
Police were called to the scene in Dannevirke about 6pm on Tuesday, where an elderly woman had been knocked down by a motorcycle at the intersection of Swinburn St and High St.
The woman - believed to be about 80 years old - was airlifted to Palmerston North Hospital in a serious condition.
Yesterday MidCentral District Health Board communications spokesperson, Paula McCool said the 80-year-old woman was now in a stable condition and in a general ward.
When asked if anyone had been charged in relation to the incident, a police spokeswoman said the Serious Crash Unit was continuing to investigate, and there was no other update at this stage.
The crash occurred outside Tinkerbell Dairy on High St. Yesterday the dairy's owner said his daughters had been manning the dairy when the crash occurred, but had not seen anything.
"They just heard the bang and crash, but it was all over by the time they got [outside]," he said. "The police and ambulance had arrived and they were doing their job".
