A storeman arrested during drug raids in Northland targeting the Head Hunters gang has pleaded guilty to drug-related charges.
Corey John Uren was among 11 people arrested after police raided five properties across the region on December 17, 2015 as part of Operation Atlas.
Uren, 41, of One Tree Point, appeared in the High Court at Whangarei and pleaded guilty to charges of supplying half an ounce of methamphetamine, conspiring with Tony Mataki-Kaiaruna and Regimen Martin to manufacture meth, and possession of caustic soda used in the manufacture of meth.
He also admitted to one charge of conspiring with Mataki-Kaiaruna, Martin and Philip Housham to supply meth, possession of 9g of meth for supply, and possession of 5g of meth.
He was convicted and will re-appear for sentencing on July 25.
Justice Kit Toogood has ordered a pre-sentence report.
Police seized 40g of methamphetamine with a street value of $400,000, $20,000 cash and stolen gold jewellery that had been melted down during the drug raids.
Detectives from the Northland Organised Crime Unit were assisted by officers from the Organised Financial Crime Agency, the Asset Recovery Unit, and the Specialist Search Group.
At the time officers said the operation would reduce the supply of methamphetamine in Northland and had dismantled a group involved in criminal activities linked to the Head Hunters which has a significant influence in the methamphetamine market.
The 11 arrested made brief appearances in the Whangarei District Court in December 2015 before their cases were transferred to the High Court.
