A week-long pretrial for double murder accused Mark Lundy started in the High Court at Wellington today.
Lundy was at the court for the hearing, which was considering scientific evidence that will be heard at his retrial.
Justice Stephen Cos suppressed all information from the hearing.
Lundy will face a retrial in Wellington on February 9 for the murders of his wife Christine and 7-year-old daughter Amber.
Last year Law Lords at London's Privy Council quashed his convictions and ordered a new trial.
In 2002, Lundy was sentenced to a jail term of at least 20 years after being found guilty of killing his wife and daughter.
He was released on bail last October to a location that was suppressed.
