The Highlanders' Super Rugby success will be celebrated with a street parade in Dunedin tomorrow afternoon.
The parade, organised by the Dunedin City Council, will start at the Dental School at midday, progressing along both Frederick St and George St down to the Octagon.
Dunedin Mayor Dave Cull will welcome the team in the Octagon about 12.15pm, where speeches will take place.
In a press release, Mr Cull urged the public to get behind this event.
"This is a chance to be part of history and show the team how proud we are of them," he said.
"This is the first time the Highlanders have won this competition and it means a huge amount to the team, the people of Otago and Southland and fans further afield."
After speeches, members of the public will have the opportunity to take photos with the players and the trophy.
Earlier today, fans welcomed the team home when they arrived at Dunedin International Airport.
