A sheep video shot in Gisborne and posted by a Canadian has gone viral with nearly 28,000 shares.
Emmeline Holly Allen posted a video on her Facebook page of possibly thousands of freshly shorn sheep running down a hill and along a road behind a quad bike.
Ms Allen posted the video, taken in Waioeka Gorge in the Gisborne region on January 21, and described the encounter as a "magic moment".
During the past week, the video has garnered more than 1.5 million views and has been shared tens of thousands of times.
"My favourite video I've ever filmed!" Ms Allen commented on her post.
"Magic moment for me. Make sure you can have the volume on as that's half the fun."
Ms Allen can be heard giggling throughout the video as the sheep streamed past her vehicle.
"This is wonderful, this is New Zealand," she said in the video.
The video comes barely a week after another viral video of sheep crossing a road near Queenstown effectively putting an end to a police chase.
