Two people were arrested after a police pursuit in Auckland last night.
Police began pursuing a vehicle which was being driven erratically near Great South Rd in Otahuhu about 10:15pm.
Police signalled for the driver to pull over but they failed to do so.
The police Eagle helicopter took over and patrol cars ceased the pursuit.
The pursuit continued for several minutes before the vehicle collided with another vehicle on Massey Rd in Mangere East.
Inspector Barry Smalley, of Northern police communications, said two people in the vehicle being pursued were arrested.
A St John Ambulance spokeswoman said an ambulance was called to the collision about 10.20pm.
Three people were taken to Middlemore Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, she said.
