Entertaining the kids at Crankworx just got easier as Kidsworx announce their line up of events for 2017, with free activities and riding available throughout the day.

Kidsworx is a dedicated area just for the kids, run as part of Crankworx Rotorua held from March 25 - April 2 at Skyline Rotorua.

Kidsworx operations manager Marcello Ojerio said there was enough to keep families at Crankworx excited and engaged throughout the entire day.

"There's a mix of competitive events for the older kids, and free play areas for the younger kids so they can learn at their own pace," he said.

"We've expanded the Tiki Tour Scavenger Hunt after popular demand so kids can spend the whole day exploring the Crankworx Village. We've also got more pump track skills coaching sessions, a longer Tamariki Track and of course, all the stickers and bike bling for the kids to pimp their ride before hitting the trails."

For the children aged from 6-12, there's also competitive events where they can hit the big trails "just like their Crankworx heroes".

Entries are still available for the Hipster Downhill Race (6-8 years), however, Kidsworx event manager Belinda Farmer said it was filling up quickly.

"It's so awesome to see such a big interest in the Kidsworx events," she said.

"These kids are the up and coming Crankworx riders so it's invaluable for them to be exposed to and experience the Crankworx festival at such a young age."

All Kidsworx events are free with a valid Crankworx ticket, and the Kidsworx area is open daily from 10am-5pm.
