Breakers point guard Cedric Jackson is looking to become a Tall Black.
The American has his eyes set on playing for New Zealand, and the Breakers believe they can get his residency fast-tracked.
CEO Richard Clarke says with Jackson's NBA desires almost over, he's looking for another challenge.
"We haven't gone too far down the path, but it's something more recently he's shown a lot of interest in."
Clarke says the discussion popped up quite some time ago.
"Something we've talked to Ced about for a while, the opportunities that he might have playing for the Tall Blacks and we've certainly talked about it again having signed him for another two years now.
"There's some certain fast tracks and dispensations.
"Other players have gone down that path as well in the past so we'll talk to BBNZ about it once our season's finished."
Jackson is currently playing for the Breakers on a working visa and not a residency visa.
