Wynne Gray and Chris Rattue list the winners and losers from the All Blacks 3-0 series win over Wales.
Winners:
All Black integration:
Another five players made their debut as the All Blacks continued their dominance, scoring 121 points to 49 while they assessed the shape and formation of this year's chapter. That is a luxury in top-level sport which will have given the selectors more help as they eye off their next Rugby Championship challenge. - WG
Scrums
Good battles but not intrusively so. And the way Joe Moody popped up Tomas Francis in Dunedin...a classic moment. - CR
Beauden Barrett:
Got his chance to start at 10 and nailed it. Directed his backline, ran and kicked with aplomb and served up a strong suggestion to the selectors that he should be retained in that role for Sydney and the Wallabies on August 20. - WG
George Moala:
Came in from the cold and added to the squad as injury cover and ended the series starting at centre. Revealed his range of exasperating skills but must have piqued the coaches' interest for a further stint. - WG
Liam Squire
A modern day All Black bolter looked the part as a barnstorming impact forward in Dunedin. - CR
Refereeing
Wayne Barnes' moment of madness at Eden Park apart, the officiating was excellent. - CR
Losers:
People who like a proper contest:
The Welsh series was a one-sided dud. - CR
Midfield confusion: Someone misses out from the group of Malakai Fekitoa, Seta Taminavalu, Charlie Ngatai, Ryan Crotty, Sonny Bill Williams and George Moala. Then there's Ben Smith playing at 12 and Waisake Naholo at 13 at the weekend and even more uncertainty. - WG
Amateur psychology:
Dropping Julian Savea for one week to sort his head out didn't work. - CR
Ben Smith: Has lost the battle to play fullback. It's hard to reconcile how the nation's best fullback has to shift to the wing to accommodate Dagg. - WG
Warren Gatland: He'll view this trip as invaluable for both Wales development and the Lions return next year. Wales were revealed as a 60 minute side, one without much variation and senior players losing their edge. Mind you who wouldn't after a year-long programme. - WG
Sam Warburton:
Has a great reputation but was an uninspiring captain this time. - CR
