A streaker who ran the length of a rugby pitch has been slapped with a two-year stadium ban.
Charl Jacobs, 24, ran on to the pitch at New Plymouth's Yarrow Stadium wearing only a pair of black socks during Sunday's game between Taranaki and Tasman.
He managed to sprint the full length of the field, finishing with a dive between the posts - mimicking a try score.

His actions delighted the crowd, but resulted in his being arrested, given a formal police warning and banned from the stadium, according to Fairfax.
"This huge roar went up from the crowd and I looked around to see what was going on and I saw him crossing the centreline and heading for the try line," Sergeant PatDuffy is quoted as saying.
Jacobs' actions were not appropriate for a family-friendly event, Duffy said, and could have put future test matches at the venue in jeopardy.
The game, a Mitre 10 Cup semifinal bout, saw Taranaki lose 41-29 to Tasman.
