There were lots of beautiful windows on display in Stratford last week as local business got into the spirit of the Daffodil Day window competition organised by the Stratford Daffodil Day committee.
Kerri McBride, a member of the committee, says that members were pleased to see so many creative displays this year.
Judges visited each business that entered before awarding Elizabeth R Rest Home and Village in Stratford first place for a vibrant display that was put together by a number of the residents. This is the third consecutive year that the rest home on Elizabeth Grove has taken first place.
Second place was awarded to the New Commercial Hotel for its creative balloon display, while Moss Rocard and Smith chemist was third with a display called "I am wearing my daffodil for".
