From Wild Things to Thing 1 and Thing 2, from fairy tale princesses to superheroes, there was an impressive range of costumes on display when the students at Midhirst Primary celebrated their favourite book characters.
Five-year-old Indiana Frazier had dressed up as Wilma from The Flintstones, and says she enjoys reading most books, and recommended Ten Tricky Dinosaurs by Amanda Tarlau for anyone looking for a fun book to read.
Brothers Ben and Joel Dodunski showed their brotherly spirit with 12-year-old Ben dressed as Thing 1 and ten-year-old Joel dressed as Thing 2.
It's fun and a bit different than wearing uniform.
Joel thought it was a good idea to dress up for the day, while Ben said he was looking forward to looking around the book fair.
Kobi Simons (9) came dressed as New Zealand's most lovable dog, Hairy Maclary.
