A new home built on Nash Road in Stratford has been revealed as one of Taranaki's top homes in the Registered Master Builders House Of Year awards.
The spacious 4 bedroom home built by Jennian Homes Taranaki Limited took home the title for the PlaceMakers New Home $400,000-$500,000 Gold Award as well as earning a category winner, for excellence in workmanship, creativity and innovation.
Dilip, director of Jennian Homes Taranaki Limited, says the results are a great acknowledgement of not only the building firm, but to all the sub-contractors who worked on the new home.
"Over 10,000 items go into building a home and so it really is the result of a huge team effort."
He adds that the vision and relationship with the clients can also make an impact of the end result.
"Making sure the client is happy is also down to everyone in the team doing their bit to bring the clients vision to life."
Dilip says he and the team enjoyed their time building in Stratford for home owners Brian and Chrissy Darth. "Stratford is a great little town with a lot of charm."
He adds that working with home owners Brian and Chrissy it was easy to see the strong bond within the community. "Brian was very specific with his instructions, because we were building in Stratford he wanted as many local sub-contractors to be used as possible."
Dilip says the Registered Master Builders House Of Year awards is all about recognising quality of workmanship. "It is hard to distinguish quality in the building industry so to be acknowledged by experts for having high standards is a real high for us."
Dilip says with the valuable feedback that was gained through the judging process he would definitely consider entering the Registered Master Builders House Of Year awards again.
