A lot of strange objects pass through airport security, but TSA staff in the US got the fright of their lives when a corpse was laid out on the conveyor belt.
A dead body, which appeared in the later stages of decomposition, was wheeled into the security check at Atlanta International Airport on Sunday.
While the unusual passenger passed through x-ray machine without incident, officers were relieved to find it was merely a prop from the 2003 remake of the horror movie Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
Posting on Instagram, the TSA captioned the image, "Talk about deadheading... This crusty ol' chap is actually a prop from the #TexasChainsawMassacre movie.
"He was brought through a checkpoint at the Atlanta International Airport, where as you can see, he was screened and sent on his jolly way."
Earlier this year, it was reported that the Texas gas station that featured in the original 1974 Texas Chainsaw Massacre was being renovated and would reopen as a "horror barbecue resort".
Perhaps this was the final destination of the "crusty ol' chap"?
