A hotel in Taiwan is taking its guests to new depths with its in-house dive training program.
The Divecube Hotel in the city of Taichung is the only hotel in Asia where you can learn to freedive. The facilities include a 21-metre deep pool - the deepest of its kind in Asia - which includes five tiered depth levels.
To keep things interesting, there's also a swimmable "shipwreck" and "coral reef cave" to explore, lit with porthole windows that face over the hotel or out into the city.
Despite Taiwan being an island, the hotel aims to train young divers in ocean awareness before they take their flippers outside. Padi-qualified instructors are on staff at the hotel to help beginners learn the techniques and skills in the pool.
To top off the nautical theme, the hotel also includes a dive shop that's shaped like the hull of a ship, with a bench that looks like the lifeboat from the movie Life of Pi contained within.
