Wanganui insurance and finance advisers Kelly and Associates are looking for talented Kiwis in the Wanganui-Rangitikei region to apply for a 'Do Your Thing' scholarship.
Almost anyone is eligible as there is no age restriction.
Jeff Ruscoe, AMP chief customer officer, said that since 1998 AMP had given almost $2 million towards helping more than 150 New Zealanders "do their thing" and he said this year's pool of $200,000 was the largest scholarship fund of its kind in the country.
"Whatever your thing is, or where you're at with it, Kelly and Associates and our 'Do Your Thing' scholarships not only provide you the financial resource you need to get things under way, but our teams offer support tools and information to help you go on to achieve them," he said.
In total, there are 12 regional scholarships available and each consists of one payment of up to $5000.
One recipient from across all the regions will receive an additional $5000 from AMP. Previous recipients from Wanganui include kayaker Aiden Nossiter, currently at the World Juniors in Europe, and in-line skater Rebecca Smith.
