From 35,000 entries, Ayesha Noor of Springvale won the the $8000 Christmas Cracker competition and is $5000 richer.
A digger bucket was required to contain the truckload of replies to the contest which was organised by The Hits 89.6, Wanganui Chronicle and Midweek. Wanganui mayor Annette Main fished the winning entry out for the promotion that ran in 50 Wanganui stores and businesses from November 10 to December 19. Ayesha's cracker first prize shopping was done at Silvesters Bags.
Second prize of $2000 went to Emma Cole of Fordell who shopped at Andersons for Men. Third prize of $1000 was won by Craig Amundsen of Gonville who shopped at Countdown.
