One of the women arrested following an 18-hour manhunt through Ohakune, Raetihi and Waiouru last month has allegedly breached bail.
Hereina Paul, 22, is facing two charges of unlawfully getting into a vehicle and one of using a firearm against a police officer.
Last month Paul was bailed to reappear in the High Court at Wanganui on September 9. At the time, Judge David Cameron told her she was fortunate to be granted bail.
Yesterday the Whanganui District Court heard Paul was sitting in car at the Ohakune property she had been bailed to having consumed alcohol. Her lawyer Stephen Ross said she acknowledged she had breached bail by drinking but said she was only sitting in the car and had not left.
"Her cousin drove into the driveway," Mr Ross said. "She went out to greet her cousin. She thought the police had seen her and she got into the passenger seat. It may have been the officer has not seen her."
Police prosecutor Stephen Butler said she had been granted bail by the strictest conditions and was on a 24-hour curfew.
Judge Stan Thorburn said there were two scenarios - she had either gone out and about or was just sitting in the car. "There are inferences to be drawn by the fact that people are in cars," he said.
He wanted the incident to be discussed at a breach of bail hearing. The hearing will be at the Whanganui District Court tomorrow.
"She's getting the message as well by waiting another couple of days."
