Whanganui's controversial wastewater treatment plant will be the subject of what could be some heated discussion next month.
The Ratepayers Association is holding a public meeting in the Eulogy Lounge at the Racecourse on Thursday, May 19, to consider issues around the proposed $40 million plant.
Association chairman Graham Adams said the purpose of the meeting was to discuss "several important issues concerning the proposed new wastewater treatment plant and to provide an opportunity for the general public to express their concerns".
He said there would likely be addresses given by some "prominent people", and the chance to question by the audience. He was expecting a large attendance.
Mr Adams said all district councillors would be advised of the meeting - which will start at 7pm - and invited to attend.
