The Keep New Zealand Beautiful awards are fast approaching, with judges on the hunt for the best environmentally friendly cities, towns and suburbs, projects and people.
Entries close on September 21 for the awards, which focus on giving communities a chance to celebrate and be recognised for the "great environmental work that has been done during the past 12 months", Keep New Zealand Beautiful chief executive Heather Saunderson said.
There are eight award categories this year. The announcement of the winners will be at the annual awards dinner at the Hilton Hotel in Auckland on October 15.
Award criteria and entry forms are available online at knzb.org.nz/awards and tickets to the awards evening can be bought by calling 09 264 1334.
