The Marton Country Music Festival attracted a crowd of around 2500 during the weekend, and organiser Anne George said it was the best one yet.
The annual festival held at Sir James Wilson Memorial Park in Rira St, Marton attracts larger crowds each year, and Mrs George said it was now one of the biggest country music events in Australasia.
Performers ranged from international headliners Justin Standley from Australia and Joni Harms from America to young first-timers like Shamika Hoeta from Hawera.
"Shamika was just amazing," said Mrs George.
"She sang beautifully and the crowd loved her."
Other young talent included 16-year-old singer-songwriter Jenni Smith from Waiuku and 13-year-old singer and multi-instrumentalist Molly G Paige from Cambridge.
Mangaweka painter Richard Aslett showed he also has vocal ability when he joined Napier band Branded on stage.
Although there were showers throughout the weekend, Mrs George said the crowd just put their umbrellas up and carried on enjoying the music.
"It was amazing to see a group of young people dancing in the rain and doing their hip-hop moves to Justin Standley's yodelling," she said.
Mrs George said there were around 400 motor homes parked up for the festival and she is delighted to see each event bringing more annual visitors coming to the festival she founded 13 years ago.
