WHANGANUI artists Kate St Amand and Felicity Rivers have teamed up for a joint exhibition at the Community Arts Centre this coming week.
There are 16 works by Rivers and 22 by St Amand on display in the back gallery at the centre. Both artists have disabilities and Amand says Whanganui is a supportive community for all artists.
"I discovered painting in my 40s and it is a wonderful solace to me."
The artist has also created woodcut prints and there are works created with palette knives alongside her oil and acrylic painting.
Rivers' works are oil and watercolour paintings with one acrylic and both artists have depicted scenes from around New Zealand along with domestic scenes.
All the works are for sale with negotiable prices.
Wanganui Community Arts Centre is open from 10am-4pm Monday-Friday and 10am-1pm on Saturdays.
