A group of Citroen owners thoroughly enjoyed their weekend in Whanganui, Taranaki West Coast Citroen Car Club president Bob Greenbury says.
The 47 car owners spent Saturday touring open studios. They included people from Auckland, Waikato, Hawke's Bay and Wellington.
The visitors had afternoon tea and looked at the work of spinners and weavers at the Jane Winstone Retirement Village on Saturday afternoon.
Then they visited the memorial garden Whanganui man Henry Ngapo has made for his late wife Helen. Mr Ngapo is a member of the club and Citroens were a feature of his wife's funeral.
On Sunday morning the members parked up 22 cars along Taupo Quay, so the public could have a look at them.
"We had a lot of people come through, interested people, and we got some new members," Mr Greenbury said.
It was such a good weekend that he's looking at making it a two-yearly event, along with the club's "rhodo run" in Taranaki in spring.
