It wasn't so much the thin blue line as the thin line pink for Whanganui Police on Pink Shirt Day.
Officers from Whanganui Police's youth services got in the spirit of anti-bullying event, Pink Shirt Day, by donning pink shirts.
Graham Hoskin opted for a plain pink shirt; Craig Yorston provided a note of extra colour with his pink plaid shirt; while Paul Miller really pushed the boat out with his pink police shirt.
Mr Miller said he'd had a positive response to the shirt.

"People have been very impressed to see a pink shirt that's also a police shirt," he said.
