University of Auckland classes are filling rapidly. Enrolment does not officially close until after the first semester starts, but intending students are advised that to ensure a place in the courses they most prefer they should enrol online by February 16. The Counties Racing Club holds its last summer meeting at the Pukekohe Park Raceway. The first race is at 12.20 pm.

Electricity bill
It is the last day for public submissions on the Electricity Industry Bill. Submissions (with 20 copies) should be sent to The Clerk of the Commerce Committee, Select Committee Office, Parliament Buildings, Wellington.

Marina plans
The North Shore City Council wants ideas for the development of land around the Bayswater Marina. The 5ha site includes the historic and new reclamations next to the marina and the area north of the Takapuna Boating Club. The deadline for submissions is February 28.
